You are blazing a new trail

Not only are you unpacking what you want to keep and leave behind from your own childhood, but you’re also navigating new layers of complexity as a queer family.

You want to create magical childhoods and empowered adulthoods—without passing down the shame, silence, or fears you may have grown up with.

And while the stakes are high and you want to get this right, you don’t want to feel like every decision, every day is a test you’ll only know the results of 21 years from now.

You want to enjoy the everyday—morning cuddles, belly laughs, bedtime stories—while knowing deep down that you’re giving them the foundation they need to thrive.

Because this isn’t just about love.

It’s about raising them with care—not just love, but the confidence, security, and belonging that ensures they carry that love forward into the world.

That’s why I created The Alignment Practice™ Lab.

So you’re not just hoping for the childhood and adulthood you want for them… you’re actively creating it.

Think back to your own childhood

Maybe love was clear, and your parents showed up in all the ways they knew how. But even in a home filled with care, there were quiet rules about what could be questioned, what could be seen, and what was better left unsaid.

Or maybe love came with sharp edges. Maybe you were made to prove yourself, to keep parts of yourself hidden, to earn acceptance through compliance, good behavior, or being easy to love.

Now, you committed to building something different:

  • A family where love is certain, not something to be earned.

  • A home where questions are welcomed, not silenced.

  • A childhood where worth isn’t measured by achievements.

Big decisions and small moments alike test your ability to live this vision day to day.

Because you’re not just building your family differently —you’re navigating questions your parents never had to consider.

Deciding

if parenting is the right path for you. Wondering if having a child will cost you too much of yourself—or if the weight of raising them in a world that doesn’t always make space for families like yours will be too much to bear.

Trying

to build your family. And questioning whether the choices you make now—choosing a donor, adopting, or fostering—will make them feel connected or like something is missing.

Expecting

And people’s reactions range from excited to dismissive, from overly curious to downright invasive. You feel the weight of how you respond—when to push back, when to let things go—and what will will teach your child about their place in the world.

You’re in the early years of parenting—

and you’re realizing just how much of your own upbringing is showing up in the way you parent on autopilot. And not all of it is what you really want for your kids.

You’re parenting an older child or teen

And you’re starting to see the ways your own fears, hesitations, or second-guessing are shaping them, and you want to shift that now, before it is too late.

Some days, you wonder: What legacy am I leaving?

And underneath it all, the real fear:

What if I can’t change fast enough? What if they grow up and I realize I was still hesitating, still apologizing, still making myself and them feel smaller?

It’s tempting to think—"Well, I turned out fine."

Because you did. You figured things out. You adapted. You made it here.

But think about what it took to get here.

The unnecessary struggles. The self-doubt that took years to shake. The patterns you didn’t even realize you inherited until you were already deep into unlearning them.

What if your child could put their energy into dreaming bigger, aiming higher, and believing they are capable—because they never had to wonder if they were “too much” or “not enough?

Life will always have challenges. They will experience setbacks, heartbreaks, and struggles—that’s part of being human. But what if they had less self-doubt, hesitation, or fear of failure to unlearn before they could pursue their dreams?

Parenting moves so fast.

And you will never be TOTALLY ready.

You will never be fully healed.

You just have to be committed to evolving, to growing, to practicing alignment—alongside your child (or your future child)

Because what will matter most is that you started.

It will matter that you tried.

Every small shift today shapes what’s possible tomorrow.

They will take your evolution to the next level.

You don’t have to give them everything you didn’t have.

But you can give them some of it.

And they will give the next generation more.

And the next generation more.

And it will ripple—into your family, your community, and the world.

Because when you start now…

💡 Whether you are deciding, trying, expecting, or currently parenting…

You are shaping the foundation they will stand on.

And that’s why you start today.

Conscious Queer Parenting

Presents:

So How Do We Bring Your Daily Choices, Big Decisions, and the Big Questions Into Integrity With Your Values?

Alignment

And how do we create alignment?

Alignment is where intentionality meets consciousness.

  • Intentionality - the ongoing work of defining and refining the kind of parent you want to be, the family culture you want to build, and the values that guide your choices.

  • Consciousness - the ability to notice when something is pulling you out of alignment and the capacity to realign in real time.

Alignment happens when these two forces work together—when you actively choose, again and again, to bring your daily actions in line with your deepest values.

The more you practice it, the more autopilot it becomes. And over time, those small moments of alignment shape something bigger: the life, the family, and the future you actually want to build. For you and your children.

In the Lab, building the skill of alignment comes from three key elements:

A Framework

A structured process that helps you move from insight to action.

A Practice Space

Because alignment isn’t a decision you make once; it’s a skill you develop.

Feedback

Because even the most self-aware people have blind spots.

The Framework

I spent 20 years in personal development and a decade coaching people through big life decisions, identity shifts, and major transitions. And what I found—over and over—is that alignment happens in the space between seeking answers—not in collecting more advice, but in how you engage with it.

And while journaling can help, what’s missing for most people is a structured way to process, challenge, and refine their own thinking.

It’s not just about what you learn—it’s about how you apply it.

It’s not about gathering more perspectives—it’s about filtering what actually fits for you.

It’s not about waiting until you have it all figured out—it’s about practicing alignment in real time, while you’re still in the thick of it.

The Alignment Practice™ framework is designed to help people unpack their own challenges more deeply, coach themselves through the layers of a problem, and make clear, values-driven decisions in real time—so they can better understand what kind of external support they actually need, if any.

TESTIMONIALS

The Transformation

“I love the clarity I gained...”

Before working with Kay, I felt lost, confused, sad, very unsure of what to do next in regard to leading the life I wanted to lead. I love the clarity I have gained. Kay didn't just offer advice, she presented options and questions and I feel like I have tools to handle any situation now. I am calmer, clearer, and better equipped to handle challenge. Working with Kay helped move me tremendously towards the life I want

– A.C.

“...You can really begin to build yourself into what you want to be"

“If you are dealing with any life changing decisions or with emotional distress, this coaching will help you see all the components in your life more clearly, and help you to be honest with yourself, so that when you do make your big decision, it is well informed and based on what will make you the most fulfilled; and if you are in distress, you can clear away a lot of the clutter and find the core of your problem. Once you find the real reasons behind your issues, you can really begin to build yourself into what you want to be.”

Who Is It For?

  • You want to parent (or prepare for parenthood) with clarity, confidence, and alignment—without constantly second-guessing yourself.

  • You’re actively navigating big questions, decisions, or challenges—and want a structured way to work through them.

  • You’ve read the books, listened to the podcasts, and maybe even done therapy or coaching—but you’re still not sure what actually fits for your life.

  • You want structure, but not a rigid system. You don’t want or need someone telling you what to do—you need a way to clarify what actually fits for you.

  • You’re committed to breaking cycles, creating intentional family culture, and raising kids who feel deeply seen, valued, and secure.

  • You want a space that is both queer-centered and deeply intentional—not just a general parenting group with some LGBTQIA+ representation.

Who is this Not For?

  • You’re looking for one-size-fits-all parenting advice, scripts, or a list of “right” answers.

  • You want only logistical advice (e.g., which donor bank to use, how to navigate second-parent adoption, etc.). While those topics may come up, this space is about how you make decisions, not the step-by-step logistics.

  • You're seeking a politically-driven or activism-centered space. While the political deeply impacts our members—and there's space to process those impacts—we empower members to engage meaningfully in ways aligned with their values and capacity.

  • You want change without engagement (or you are just looking for a space to vent). While we highly recommend working at a pace that is sustainable for you, the Lab works when you engage with the framework—it’s not a passive experience.

  • You want a traditional parenting program focused on child development, discipline strategies, or age-specific parenting techniques. While parenting challenges are discussed, this space focuses on you—your alignment, values, and growth as a parent.

  • You’re seeking crisis support. The Lab is a space for personal growth, values alignment, and decision-making—it’s not a substitute for mental health care.

About Us

Kay(she/her) is the Founder of Conscious Queer Parenting, a space where queer parents can navigate their most complex, deeply personal parenting decisions with clarity and confidence.

A master-certified Jungian life coach and queer parent, Kay has spent two decades immersed in personal development and over a decade coaching clients through major life shifts and redefining success on their own terms. Now, she brings that expertise to queer parenting. Kay’s process helps people unravel deep conditioning—so they don’t let patterns of people pleasing or perfectionism stop them from making choices that reflect their values.

She is particularly passionate about working with and building community with queer parents because they’ve already done the radical work of creating family beyond rigid norms. Queer people are natural disruptors, mold-breakers, and extremely courageous.

Kay’s coaching and teaching style is deep but practical, reflective but action-oriented, structured but adaptable. She practices what she teaches, using these same frameworks in her own life and evolving alongside her clients—ensuring that intentional living isn’t a finish line, but a practice that deepens every day.

How is the Lab different?

Most parenting groups fall into two categories:

  • Gentle & Conscious Parenting Spaces - While these groups offer valuable advice, they often assume heteronormative dynamics and fail to address the unique challenges and opportunities of queer parenting

  • Queer Parenting Groups - These spaces may affirm your identity, but the advice is often generic, surface-level, and focused on quick fixes rather than deeper solutions.

The Lab is different.

We don’t just provide canned answers, generic reassurance, or vague advice —we help you uncover insights and develop the skills to approach parenting with clarity, confidence, and intention.

Here’s how:

  • Deeper Thinking, Not Generic Advice This is a space for critical thinkers and intentional parents. Together, we unpack challenges, examine the patterns behind them, and create solutions rooted in your values and vision. This creates lasting change for you and your family.

  • Queer-Centered. Every tool, conversation, and resource is designed to reflect the lived experiences of queer parents. We tackle topics like navigating DNA conversations, breaking free from rigid gender roles, and creating family cultures that celebrate authenticity.

  • A Culture of Shared Depth and Leadership. Our community isn’t about rushing to give answers—it’s about asking better questions, exploring possibilities, and modeling leadership that inspires others.

  • A Shared Movement, Not Just a Membership. This is more than a community—it’s a movement of queer parents committed to shaping a world where authenticity, connection, and belonging thrive. Together, we’re creating ripples of change that go beyond our own families.

Will this really work for my SPECIFIC problem?

Absolutely! How You’ll Use the Framework & Lab:

  • Figuring out if parenting is right for me? → Untangle external pressures vs. personal values.

  • Deciding between adoption, IVF, donor conception - known or unknown, or surrogacy? → Break down what aligns with your life & vision.

  • Navigating my role as a non-bio parent? → Work through self-doubt, visibility, and claiming your place in your family with confidence.

  • Navigating coming out later in life? → Process identity shifts & parenting changes.

  • Co-parenting with a step-parent? → Clarify roles, expectations, and boundaries.

  • Setting boundaries with extended family? → Handle tough conversations with confidence.

  • Answering my kid’s big questions? → Respond with intention & values clarity.

  • Facing schools & institutions that don’t fit? → Decide when to push back vs. find workarounds.

And 100 other challenges I don’t have space to fit!

Why Not Just Get Advice or Find a Specialist Instead?

  • Advice can give you options. The Lab helps you know which option is actually right for you.

  • Specialists solve problems. The Lab helps you define the real problem.

  • Advice can be overwhelming. The Lab helps you filter what’s actually useful.

  • You’re not just solving a problem—you’re learning a process to create an intentional family life full of truly unconditional love and belonging.

So, Should You Still Get Advice or Specialized Help?

Absolutely—when you need it. But this Framework helps you filter what’s useful, discard what’s not, and make decisions with clarity and confidence.

Just Imagine...

  • Instead of snapping at bedtime after a long day, you’re fully present, hearing your child’s giggle as you tuck them in, knowing they feel safe and loved.

  • Instead of replaying the same argument with your partner, you’re sitting together, hands entwined, sharing a quiet moment of pride for the family you’re building.

  • Instead of freezing when your child asks, “Why don’t I have a dad?”, you answer with a calm confidence that leaves them feeling secure and proud of your family.

  • Instead of shrinking under the weight of a microaggression, you set a clear boundary—with peace, not guilt—knowing your child sees you stand tall for them.

  • Instead of feeling consumed by the chaos, you find yourself pausing in awe as your third baby laughs for the first time, thinking, This. This is what I wanted.

  • Instead of wondering if you’re doing enough, you see your child stand up for themselves at school—unshakable and proud—and know the courage you modeled for them.

That’s what The Alignment Practice™ Lab helps you create.

💡 Because alignment isn’t just about shaping the future—it’s about fully living in the present.

FAQ image

Is this only for parents, or can prospective parents join too?

Absolutely! If you’re still in the process of deciding whether or how to become a parent, the Lab will give you a clear framework to make values-aligned choices.

If you are not considering parenthood at all but want to learn the alignment framework, please reach out for 1-1 options.

FAQ image

Is this only for people who identify as queer, or allies too?

This membership is intentionally designed to center the lived experiences of queer individuals, couples, and families who navigate the challenges and joys of living authentically in a world that often marginalizes them. It is a space for those who have experienced the unique complexities of parenting, relationships, and self-expression through the lens of queerness.

This is not a space to learn allyship, for those seeking foundational education about queer identities, nor is it a space for people who are questioning the validity of queerness.

However, we welcome individuals, couples, or families who are actively challenging rigid gender roles and restrictive heteronormative ideas in their own lives — and who are committed to living in ways that reflect queer-expansive values. Members of this community are reimagining family structures, parenting, relationships, and self-expression in ways that transcend societal conditioning. If you are living in a way that disrupts rigid norms, embraces authenticity, and prioritizes liberation, this is the space for you.

How will I know if this membership is working for me?

You’ll notice a growing sense of alignment in your parenting and family life, increased confidence in handling challenges, and deeper connections with your values and vision. Progress looks different for everyone, but the tools and community are here to support you every step of the way.

Is this only for queer specific issues?

This is an intersection of queer issues and parenting issues. Some parenting issues are universal and we will work through those, some universal parenting issues intersect queer parenting issues and we will center those. But the short answer is no - this is for both parenting and queer parenting support.

In fact, you can use the Lab for ANY life alignment issues you are having - career, family of origin challenges, friendships, etc. It's all connected, and the Lab is here to help with your current priorities.

Do you offer 1-1

Yes, but spots are very limited. Please see details here.

What will happen after I enroll?

Once you join, you’ll get immediate access to The Alignment Practice™ Framework Training, the private community forum, and the PAVE & Expand Support Group. You’ll start with the 25-minute overview to get a clear foundation, then dive into the self-coaching framework at your own pace. You can ask questions in the Course Q&A section, start applying the framework to real-life challenges, and connect with other members navigating similar parenting decisions. Founding members will also have additional 1:1 support to help integrate the framework into their lives.

FAQ image

What is the refund policy?

For the founding members, I am offering a free trial, so there will be no refunds after that. If you did not get a free trial, please see Policies below.

How much time do I need to devote to this program?

The membership is designed to meet you where you are. Whether you engage deeply every week or check in occasionally, you’ll find value. To see meaningful change in your life, we recommend dedicating a minimum of 2-3 hours/mo, particularly in the first 3 months, to workshops, hot seat coaching, and community engagement —to build momentum. After that, you may decide you want to increase or decrease your time as needed depending on the phase of life you are in.

I’m really private. How can I get value from the membership?

You’re welcome to join with a pseudonym if that feels more comfortable - the membership is hosted on a private app (it is not a Facebook Group). The community is designed to respect individual boundaries, and you’re encouraged to engage only in ways that feel safe and right for you. Even though you can engage in a pace that works and is sustainable for you, the Lab is designed for active participation to get the most from it.

FAQ image

Can I share membership content with a partner or co-parent who isn’t a member?

The membership is designed for individual members, but we encourage you to share key takeaways and tools with your partner or co-parent. If your partner is actively engaged in parenting or decision-making, they may benefit from joining as well to fully participate in the community and coaching opportunities.

Are there any pre-requisites to join?

Nope! Just a willingness to learn and grow!
